Well I want to get a S&B intake set up for my truck but with the new CA smog testing crap coming up if its anything like a gasser were gona need CARB#'s for every non stock part on the truck under the hood or it will fail visual inspection . So im looking for a intake tube that has no restriction that i can hook up to the stock intake box and turbo inlet and combine that with a S&B replacement filter so i can get some mpg and power and look stock and avoild having to convert my truck back to stock every time i gota get it smogged

Why not modify the stock silencer tube? Plenty of write ups on how to pull the guts out on this forum.

I bought a 5.5 inch aluminum pipe for $12 and painted it black. It looks stock but is wide open. A 5.5" is tough to find but 5" pipe will work too but you need to really clamp the hoses at the end.

Open intake tube, pop off top, slide baffles out, super glue top back on, reinstall tube, complete.

Seriously, one of the first mods i did next to takin' ring out. Worked wonders 'till i got my S&B
