gdp intake quality
gdp intake quality
just recieved it today and was looking at it and am not impressed with the inside of the intake it has slag stuck to the inside and not completely powder coated either is this normal or not i have had good luck with them on the gdp mk 2 big line kits have one on both the 05 and 07 and happy with quality so i went with thier intake kit so the mk 2 kits fit but not happy with the quality of the intake anyone elese hav similar experience thanks
Hmm my buddy and dealer got his awhile back and i thought the quality was excellent havent put it on yet but it looks killer nothing like what youve stated above im sure if you contact them they will make it right with you they seem like a good company. I really like the hellmanperformance intakes also on another note.
Can't speak for that brand, but I did just get the Banks High Ram installed the other day. Not too impressed with it either. The intake mounting surface does not even look machined (how flat can it be?), the paint is marginal, and the casting is porous. Makes you wonder how much they got in these things?!
I have the GDP Intake Horn on my truck. Mine was as smooth on the inside as a baby's butt, powdercoating was perfect. You need to contact Richard, he will make it right, great guy to deal with, that one must have got past him or whomever does his QC. I also have his 2-micron filter with the big line kit, again quality stuff, great instructions, etc.
Send him off an e-mail or call him, I'm sure he will take good care of you.
