We designed these tow hook extenders to avoid scratching the paint...

Caution: these are a major PITA do install by yourself, unless you're a chimpanzee or octupus!

There is another guy on here who did that same thing... Is it mounted on the plastic strip that goes along the bottom of the front bumper? If so, I would for sure rip it off somehow. i.e.mesquite tree, ruts, small game animals...

We fabricated a profile that fit the bumper slot exactly (very little clearance in there!)

Thanks, Mike! I use my block heater whenever it's under 40*F, since I like the cab to warm up faster (I'm gettin' soft in my old age )

Good observation - that's exactly what they mostly get used for: steps!

The instructions would definitely say "2 persons recommended!"

Mike,

As you know I have seen them and I am very impressed. Very nice fabrication! I think they also are good for adding some extra protection to the front end, bumper, grill etc. in the event of a collision, by sticking out that much further. Good job!

How much????

Guess you'd have to remove the bumper to make it easy. I just don't understand the engineers of today!
