How to remove headliner?
Anybody got instructions on how to remove the headliner on an 2005 Quad without messing it up? Got a new set of cab lights and need to install them. thanks for any help.
thanks that would be great. I am pretty good mechanically just a little leary of trying to do something like this. Tried to work on my dads old impala one time.....lets just say it wasn't a pretty deal. thanks again for the info.
headliner
I just did my 95 club, I had to remove seat to get it out, I used 2 sided tape to put it back up so it stays put, remove everything you can that is in the way, do not bend it, it will take 2 people to putit back up, have fun. pete
I did the cab lights on my MC. Only needed to drop the headliner down so it rested on the tops of the headrests. I didn't have to completely remove it. The biggest PITA was the rear entertainment system, so if you don't have that then it should be pretty easy.
Two notes:
The plastic trim for the A-pillar "scratched" the inside of my windshield when I pulled them out. Not really scratches but marks on the glass that I can't get out. Not real obvious, but visible if you look.
The plastic anchor nuts for the cab lights tend to spin if the hole is even just a little bit too big. You may have to use a part of pliers on the underside of the roof to hold the anchor while tightening the screws. Be sure to get them tight so the light will not leak.

I left the headliner in as well, just got a small box and cut it down to about 4 inches thick. Then put the box under the hole I was going to drill, it holds the headliner down for you and catches the shavings from the drill bit at the same time.
