deactivate daytime running lights??
for some reason I paid $40 extra for the daytime running lights when I ordered my truck (my wifes idea of safety) and now I would pay $140 to be able to turn them off when I wanted.
I know on some trucks you can turn them off and I was wondering if any of you guys knew if this was possible. I know not many of these trucks have the daytime running lights (you guys are smarter than me ) but, hopefully somebody out there knows?

I thought it was a change country and a enable daytime running lights. But anyway all the DEALER has to do was call STAR their TECH ASSIST help line and they would have walked them through it.

Gen 2's had a black box on the driver's side fender in engine compartment. Unplug receptacle and no more daytime running lights. Downside is that the high beam indicator will not function. Upside is that fog lights work high or low beam. Haven't checked the new one, so not sure if it's the same system.
My '97 had 2 of these black boxes melt. When they malfunction, headlights stayed on(ie: dead battery) until DRL box was unplugged.
