A friend of mine is a DC trans tech at a local dealer and he told me that the factory syn atf+4 is a extremely good oil and recommended staying with that particular oil and just changing or flushing on a regular basis.-Frog

stick with the ATF+4, it's a good fluid. You can also use it in your power steering resevoir.

If you want to run synthetic ATF, then you could use AMSOIL, I use it and have had no problems.

contact a local amsoil dealer an ask him he will tell you that atf+4 is a good fluid but not full synthetic Why do you want to go to full synthetic anyway.

I have used Amsoil ATF fluid in 3 different Dodge products and it has held up very well in them and gave me no problems from its use. In fact I asked my local Dodge Service Manager and he is a by the book person and said that if I use Amsoil fluid in my 2006 it would be Ok to use and he said that is some very good fluid and he would not question it going in to my truck. Then today when I took the wife's car in to be serviced, a 06 Sebring, the SM said (with a smile on his face) that's some very good oil you put in your wife's car and all I could do is and say yes sir it is and he went on to say he is glad that I will take as good of care with her car as I do my truck

So my self I can't see why your dealer should say anything if you use it in your truck as it is a better fluid then what Dodge puts in it IMHO.
