06 dually questions

Hi all, I am considering placing an order for a 2006 Laramie LWB dually. Playing with the Dodge build a truck thing on their site some problems come up. I basically want a max towing vehicle, need the Laramie to get the power passenger seat.

1) It seems you can no longer get a dually w/ 4WD and 8' box?
2) It won't let me get a 6-speed w/the diesel and 4.10 gears. (I need the towing power)
3) No 'real' front seats with a standard trans? That bench seat doesn't look too comfortable. My dozer has a better seat. No arm rest on a Laramie !!

I asked my dealer about some of this and well, ya know, he just kinda scracthed his head and said he'd 'look into it'. I'll try another this weekend.

Anybody have a truck like this? I guess I shoulda bought the 05.

Thanks for your input

Scott

Something is wrong with their web site cause the local dealer near me has 2 'o6 duallies and both are 4 wheel drive and quad cab, long bed duallies. One is a SLT and the other a Laramie and I think the Laramie is a stick....let me look and I'll get back.

The dealership where I buy my trucks have 6 or so 2006 quad cab long bed dually 4X4's with 6 speeds and 4:10 gears. There are out there!

Try talking to a fleet or internet rep; they tend to be much more knowledgable about the product lines than the average salesman.

Also, the website DOES NOT reflect the actual configuration possibilities.

are you sure they have 4.10's from what I understand since they went to the G56 trans., 4.10 gears were only available with the auto

You're correct....the 4.10 axle ratio is only available w/48RE. IF you could get 4.10's w/G56, you'd probably top out at about 68 mph.

As said before, that Dodge website in the "build your truck" part is all screwed up. On there, you cannot "build" a 3500 with single rear wheel. That's a pretty common set-up out here, but they don't even offer it on the website. My one ton is single rear wheel, so I know you can get it. I know that's not what he's looking for, just another example of how screwed up that website is....

You can build one off the website. It appears you are building a dually but near the end of the process there is a single rear wheel option. It even credits you some money back if you choose that option.

As far as seats go, you can get an electric drivers seat with the SLT package and without leather. It is part of there premium cloth upgrade. That is on the 60/40 split bench. I'm not sure if the buckets w/ console have the electric adjustability.
