Turbo questions
Recently i have been looking into doing a twin set up for my 6.7L
i just need some clarification on what i am reading because i dont entirely understand.
so i want to get rid of my stocker and this is what i have been told to do
s300 over a s 400
so these are just series correct?
the person told me to do a 62mm s300 so is this what you would do or should i be going with say a 64mm?
some also say a s475 or something like that. what is the difference when the last two digits are changed?
what would a good twin set up be for a daily driver that doesnt tow much at all, i want it to be very reliable.
my plans will be dual cp3 and 120 or 150 injectors.
thanks so much for any info as i just dont understand what im reading and this will realy help

Give Rip Rook a shout at Source Automotive. www.sourceautomotive.biz
He has a S300/400 set up available. Good fella and will take the time to explain to you what you want/need/might consider purchasing.
I do know K2 Performance has a twin setup also but I have no experience dealing with them. They advertise a Shibby Eng product and I know that Shibby makes some top notch stuff.

You do know that twins will do away with your factory exhaust brake right. You said you tow much so it may not matter to you. Just throwing that out there for ya.
You could always do an In-line EB if you wanted it back.

Good info. Thanks. I was un-aware that they were using the VGT in a twin setup. Good to know. I guess I need to read up more on the 6.7's as I am thinking about buying one here pretty quick.

LoveFab also makes a 62/76 dual wastegate kit. It looks pretty insane!

Industrial, source, Lovefab, and Shibby has kits. yeah i know that replacing the factory turbo will get rid of my eb but im not too worried about that.
i just am having trouble figuring out the difference between the kits. Lovefab has obviously a different design but what is the difference turbo wise?
I hear lots of good from the Source kit but then again you really dont hear any bad about any of them. i guess only time will show the flaws as these kits are all quite new

Rip has a VGT over S400 setup too. That with 100hp sticks, fuel mods, and support mods, MP8 and Smarty his test truck made 646 and 1612.
I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
That is my goal..... one day!

i thought Rip was Source Automotive? am i wrong?
so what Browns diesel said was 62mm over a s400 with dual fuelers for reliability and 150 hp sticks... this is with the source kit.
im not at all going against what they say by the sound of it they know their $hit but i am gathering info from everyone.
i have read that what would take a while to spool on a 5.9 spools faster on a 6.7 so with dual fuelers and 150hp injectors would you want bigger turbos?
also whats the difference between turbos in the 400 series with the last 2 digits changed? like a s475 what is the 75? how is it different from a s4XX?
