DONT understand what that means, if QUAD is such a good chip, why get EDGE? Quad even gives more power

Quads boxes use pressure among other things.. Some people DON'T want added pressure, so they opt for boxes that only lengthen the injection event. Same effect, just different ways of getting the extra power.

what are the pros/cons on both? Quads are more harsher on the engine? Quads will smoke more???

I am not only concerned with power, because I will not be running it on wfo util I build my tranny. With the commander and the edge it gives me 20,40,60,80,100 hp settings. So I have more settings to tailor to what I need. But this is just my opinion, so that by no means makes it right.......

I think Quad's way is just smoother and more driveable. That's just my opinion. You'll hear others with different views. I've heard of other boxes, I don't recall which, that are not smooth on the power delivery, which is gonna give you a too sensitive throttle. And probably a jerky, unpredictable ride. Which after awhile isn't any fun.
TST is timing and duration, meaning it holds the injector open longer for more fuel. I think one of the EDGE boxes do the same. Quad's does alittle of everything.... Pressure, duration, timing and boost fooling. Works well for most. Some argue that it'll hurt injectors after awhile, which it might. I'm no expert on any of this stuff, just trying to help you out because you seem to be torn about which decision to make... Sometimes, you just gotta go with your gut... AND MAKE A CHOICE. It ain't that hard. Don't mean to get down on you, but I noticed this in a few other threads... Like Nike ads say..."Just do it".... No offence, by any means...

NOT NON-STOP driving, just a quick switch for ONE quick race thats all. if I get the QUAD, can I switch to the 140hp for a quick race on the HWY or street? Also, do the QUAD, EDGE, BD all have a SPEED LIMIT REMOVER?
I would say its because of the differences in how the power comes on. Quads box is ultra smooth, which is much easier on the tranny. Some of the other boxes come on real strong with light throttle, making them a bit touchy to drive and make it easier to over stress the transmission.

I wouldn't go any more than a 100 hp box with the stock tranny. Anything more and its only a matter of time until you toast your tranny. But thats me...

I've had my tripple dog for about a month now and love it. I run the extreme setting everyday (stock tranny) with no issues. I don't abuse it but when I do get on it mine blows crazy black smoke. I bought it without the outlook monitor because I want gauges. I'm not trying to sway your decisions because there are some really good chips and boxes out there. This is just what I decided to go with.

Good luck on whatever you decide.

Probably because they want you to buy their stuff! What you could do is grab the phone and ask them.

you are answering your own questions.

make a spreadsheet with pros and cons and figure out what you want.

SEARCH.... Then buy something, if it works use it, if it doesn't take it off.

Your asking a TON of ?'s and I think if you just search for it all of your ?'s will be anwsered.
