1. Does any chip(BESIDES TST) offer a built in Turbo timer for a decent price?
2. Whats the fastest chip you guys offer and does it have the in-cabin adjustment or the DANGER shutoff feature?
3. All the puppydogs, juices, larry is crazy would just about confuse everyone (who just getting into all this)
I wanted the TST but since im keeping the STOCK turbo/trans, 3 levels out of 9 is NOT worth the $1000. What chip(and please give me a personal REAL LIFE opinion) would give me the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK. Something where I can use or just about use all of my levels.

No, you do not need a monitor to have in-cab adjustability.
I will go over the ones mentioned so far.
Quadzilla 130hp - off+3 levels of in cab adjustability on the fly anytime you feel the need.
Edge - 80hp (with no monitor) 3 levels of in cab adjustability, no off position
TST - 180hp?? Adjustable in cab with just their remote (not the newer R49 or whatever) All 9 levels are available, but no turbo timer
Bullydog Triple Dog - 3 settings unsure of the claimed power ratings as they are reffered to as tow, performance, and extreme. Optional Crazy Lary setting which must be 180hp or so?? Supposed to change levels on the fly. Only one I have ever witnessed was a BD rep at a dyno and it made about 10hp difference in each level?
All of the above can be upgraded to an in-cab monitor of sort and each has its +'s and -'s.
The only one listed that you could use ALL the levels and keep the stock tranny for a while is the Quadzilla and Edge.
1.) Not for your year model. Our Commander has one coming, but it is not available today.
2.) Our "Race" module is the "fastest". Probably over time it will eventually kill your tranny if you rag on it. The stock tranny will last a while though. My tranny has over 30K on it with no issues, but I have seen them break in stock truck too? There is some video and pictures of how I treat my tranny on here. Yes it is in-cab adjustable. If you add the monitor it has the de-fueling feature.
If you want "Bang for the Buck" you will be hard pressed to beat our Quadzilla Race module. I do not think that in the "Bang for the Buck" category you will get too many that argue that. If you want both "Bang for the Buck" and ability to use ALL levels, then you have to choose either Edge or Quadzilla.
There are some recent dyno results posted on another Dodge site with our Race module and he was around 420 to the tires on a load dyno.
Now as stated before there is no magical perfect module, YET. With each different selection there is a downside. That downside could be money, drivability, customer service, risk etc.
All you can do is search. Do a search for happy customers and do a search for people that have had issues. All companies listed have both.
It is easy to ask an opinion, but you need to do what makes you happy. You picked your truck and its options and colors based on what you like. Someone else might think your truck is ugly, does that make it ugly to you?
Edge and Bullydog are larger than Quadzilla and TST, at least at this moment. All are reputable companies. Edge and Bullydog shell out some serious marketing dollars and that is why they will be slightly more popular. I have not done that, yet. TST has sort of started, but not to much.
Heck, call some vendors that carry multiple products and talk to them. Call the DTR store I think they sell all of them. These vendors might be able to help give you advise for your particular needs and wants.
This is sort of like a KB 2.2 or 2.4, or Whipple charger thread. Some people hate the 2.4. They say it is too hot, spools too slow and does not match the low end of the stock charger. Some think Whipple hung the moon. Others are running in the 9's on a ported stock charger. Who is right?
Now, what happened to the Big Turbo, Nitrous, TC, VB etc talk? i spent a lot of time with you in that thread and now you are wimping out on me?
I am gonna send you a consulting bill and spread it out to all the guys making your mind up for you!
Maybe someday we can get together and race your Cobra against my C.......Truck...........

Oh yeah....the whole CB thing is long gone. All been replaced and the latest revision has never had the problem. How can I post a thread soley on the CB thing and get like 5 replies, but it still pops up from time to time?

ok, all in all, forget Bully dog. Concentrate on either EDGE or the Quadzilla Xzillaraider. As far as BANG FOR THE BUCK, the quad will give me MORE power. Considering the EDGE has up to 100hp while the QUAD had up to 140hp. Seems like QUAD is similiar performance wise to BullDog (unless yu get the scary larry)
OK, now:
1. Do you guys off a monitor?
2. Whats the difference between these?
Pricing:
Standard Modules:
DXZCRS $449
DXZCR2S $449
Race Modules:
DXZCRR $549
DXZCR2R $549
3. Will this Xzillaraider shoot black smoke everytime I punch it?
4. How will the Xzillaraider compare to the Tripple dog and edge juice
BLACK SMOKE wise?
5. From what I understand its like this:
EDGE EZ, QUAD XZT are the lower end power box's more for MPG/TOWING
EDGE JUICE, QUAD Xzillaraider , Bully Dog tripple dog are pretty much the same performance wise, however the EDGE gives the least amount of power while the QUAD AND BD are about the same?
Did I get everything about right?
Sort of. I think the BD smokes the most. We are probably similar to Edge although I cannot be sure on this.
Now if you get the Edge Monitor I think they have a hot upgrade for $100 which goes to 160 or 180hp? If you do not get the monitor it is only 80hp and without the upgrade it is 100hp.
Yes when you stab it you will get smoke. The slower, lower boost you punch it at the more smoke you get and then it starts trying to clean up, but will not clean all the way up. Like I said before I can twist on it to get more smoke if that is really what you want, but it makes no more power.
So you are basically on track. All prices you listed are Suggested Retail. I am not going to sell it to you. You need to find a vendor, preferably on here, or even the DTR store. You will have to check prices through them
We do have a monitor and there is a monitor/module combo you can get.
The differences in part# is this
DXZCRS = 100hp 03-04
DXZCR2S = 100hp 04.5-06
DXZCRR = 140hp 03-04
DXZCR2R = 130hp 04.5-06
Got it. Good!
Quad
PS. IF you have not made a donation to the DTR you need to. You owe them at least a little something. Bandwidth is not FREE!

1. Is that the fastest chip you guys offer right now?
2. How many settings is it?
3. Can I do the highest setting to 140 with my stock truck? Remember, not keeping the highest setting all the time. Just switching it for like 5 min about a few times a week and then just have it in normal mode. More like a SECRET WEAPON.
4. I see the DXZCR2R goes for about $450(I found) now is that everything I need or do I need something else?
5.Does it come SHIFT-ON-A-FLY out of the box even though it doesnt come with the monitor?
6. And the only monitor I can use is obviously QUADS which is called the COMMANDER which will be all digital info...etc v.s. regular guages?
p.s. Notice how our posts are getting shorter and shorter

Everything you need to know can be found on those 2 link. There is also installation instructions.
Now a recap:
1.) Yes
2.) 4 - Stock, 60, 100, 130hp
3.) Yes, eventually it will kill your tranny with launches and burnouts. You need an EGT gauge.
4.)Yes AND No. For 130hp adjustable on the fly, Yes. You need at least an egt gauge.
5.)Yes, adjustable on the fly out of the box.
6.)Yes and No. If you want control over the module, Yes. There is also the X-monitor, the Outlook and something else I think. They are all different and will be just gauges.
p.s. yes

I realized somthing. If my truck can go on the 140hp sometimes(depends on how I treat it) which is a 130RWHP ioncrease so about 280(stock) to about 410RWHP, then why does TST say I cant go over Level 3 on stock tranny? All level 3 is 60RWHP? Confused about that. Since 130RWHP is pretty much, then theres NO point to even look at the other ones like crazy larry or whatever, since I cant even use them. Absolutle POINTLESS then. How much RWHP can my stock turbo and trans hold? Assuming th truck has been babied and NOT abused?
Dude, Quit being a Nancy!! Just get the darn quad race box already!! You will like it, your truck will be able to street race and win, your stock truck will still be reliable and last, its a cheaper box, has good smoke, you can adjust it with a switch, great quality and on and on and on and on and on...........
For one, I think it says alot when you can play internet tag on a discussion forum with Quad himself! It shows how good their customer service is thats for sure. Now Viking, If you hurry up and buy a race box and tell everyone how much you like it....Quad might even think of you when it comes time for Beta Testing!
I know he hooked me up and I am really greatful!

Oh and did I mention like a 5-10 min install? I put mine in on my lunch break one day and skinned back to work!! And Im no mechanic by all means!
I can hammer mine on lvl 3 all day long, dont worry about it!
Try it, you'll like it for sure! Plus I think its a good one to add to later!! Quad is always thinking ahead!

Just look at how much info Quad has given you... I had my Quad box modified to work with another programmer, sent it to Quad, his guys did the mods, and sent it back to me... FOR FREE... They didn't even want shipping. And I wanted to pay!!! But they said "no"... Amazing company for sure, and you ain't gonna get that kind of support ANYWHERE else for sure. Get the box from Quad and be done with it... You'll be happy, and smokey, and you'll smile everytime you mash the throttle. What more can you ask? I shouldn't say that cause you've asked an aweful lot already...
I guess QUAD is the way to go, however I still would like to know why its OK to drive with the 100hp setting and NOT be able to go over level 3 on TST which is only 60hp? Also, whats the MAX RWHP I can go with my stock trans and turbo? NOT NON-STOP driving, just a quick switch for ONE quick race thats all. if I get the QUAD, can I switch to the 140hp for a quick race on the HWY or street? Also, do the QUAD, EDGE, BD all have a SPEED LIMIT REMOVER?
I am going with the juice module, controlled by the commander when it is able to do so. I have read lots of post about pressure and even quad wrote a great post about it. But I am going with a timing duration box only, simply for my peace of mind...
