Ok I'm afraid to ask but to hell with it here goes, can a factory clutch in a 06 HO handle this quad box (140HP).

There will be NO TOWIN, I'm not even puttin a gooseneck ball in this truck. If it ever pulls anything it won't be much and it will be few and far between.

As far as drivin habits, no boost launchs ,no powerbrakin cause I plan to run some expensive tires and I ant burnin them off (I have done that once and I will not do it again). If I get this box yes I plan to get on it sometimes but I'm not gonna run it on 140 all the time.

Last question, if my truck has to go to the shop, how hard will it be to take this box off so they never know??

I ask all of this because I think I'm gonna go buy a 06 HO 4x4 6 speed here in the next week or so (that factory pricin thing has really knocked the price down from 3 months ago)and after that (28k) I ant gonna have alot of money for a clutch, turbo, fuel pump ect. ( till I get approved for a credit card LOL).

It should be fine on the stock clutch, expecially if you dont plan on beating it hard. I wouldnt worry about the warranty either, just take it out.

ohh.... I just remembered a question I didnt ask (FLAME SUIT ON) Do any of the chips we talked about remove the TOP SPEED limiter? I mean, will I at least be able to hit 120, or am I still stuck at 108?

I dont know of any that do, but im sure that 108 isnt fast enough for a truck that weighs 7500lbs, so basically you want to go 12mph faster?

Tell me, if you found that why did you clog up yet another post with the question, next time change the order in which you do things.

Yes Viking, that box will do away with your top speed limiter...

Man, you guys are being a bit harsh! If people weren't asking questions then this place would be pretty boring..........

I have been up in the air on what setup to get (just came over from the PSD side), but this thread has me convinced to get a Quad race box with the Commander. I like the ability to change settings on the fly, plus, it seems the customer service is second to none.

Now I just need to find a pillar or console mount for the Commander.

hey, got off the phone with both QUAD, EDGE and BULLYDOG. The only thing I dont like from the EDGE is the highest setting is #5 100hp and then to get the higher setting, its a 180hp which then is too much for the turbo/trans, or is it? The 80hp gap is big while QUAD and BD make like a 140 or 130hp. My only question is my will my STOCK TRANS/TURBO handle the HOT JUICE(180hp) every once in a while. NOT all the time, another words, ill be driving the truck a normal setting 2 or 3 and then every once in while put it on HOT JUICE mode and just mess around with my buddies for a few minutes, any harm? If so, then the EDGE is definetly the way to go, b/c the 230hp CRAZZY LARRY will be just too much, btw, anyone know whats the MAX PSI my turbo can spike at?

The hot juice will kill your trans, the quad and bully dog on their 140ish setting will get it as well if you drive it hard (i didnt think i drove mine that hard but when i thought about it...yeah i was beating it good, make sure you know how you drive, sometimes people only think they do, like me) The crazy larry is not 230HP, thats for the duramax, i think their like 180 for the dodge, im not sure of the exact number though, although it is a heck of alot of fun(and alot of smoke)

Ok, let me tell you how I drive. It If I were to get this EDGE or whatever, it would be in a 2 or 3 setting and just cruising to and from work. Every once in a while that day, i would punch it BUT ONLY 2 or 3 setting and pretty much just normal speeds. OK, the only time I would use the HOT JUICE is say I meet up with my buddies and we go out to eat. After dinner on a Friday night, we do a little highway races or like some races from a stop and then if I won, we do it again from a roll this time and if I won again, then we would stop and just cruise normal. The time when we actually race, thats the ONLY time I would use the HOT JUICE, can I or is HOT juice still too much and what will be the border line, considering what I told you and how I intend to drive and use the power?

to tell the truth even with the bully dog or the regular juice i think your tranny will go. Laying into it a couple times a day, and racing your buddys twice a week is considered driving hard for alot of people. Ive heard alot of things about how the quad is really smooth so youd probably be ok with that. JMHO
