Fuel Pressure gauge NO Pressure??
Just installed the my fuel pressure gauge using the Vulcan Isolator.
It DOESNT WORK. The isolator is getting fuel because I bled it out. I put Antifreeze in the line to my Stewart Warner Gauge. Fired it up and NO movement at all.
Any Ideas????

I just installed mine last week, and works perfectly. Did you push the diaphram back towards the fuel side before you installed it. That is what the instructions said to do on mine.

Get rid of it altogether, install a needle valve and run it right to the gauge. Isolators have been known to cause lotsa problems...

Mine did not come with any instructions. All i got was the isolator, no instructions, no bracket, no nothing else. I emailed to Vulcan and got no response. I got jipped...
I will try to take it appart tomorrow and try messing with the diaghram.
Neddle Valve you say??
How does that work FISHERGUY?? do you just cut down the fuel going to the gauge and run fuel straight to it through the tubing??

Yah, open the valve just a little bit, it helps reduce the pulses to the gauge.
I'd try the isolator first, if it's not working, try the needle valve, people here will tell you it's unsafe etc etc...

all of our older equipment has fuel pressure gauges in them with no isolators fisherguy is correct you will get a bunch telling you not to do it i like glycerin in the isolator rather than antifreeze go to the pharmacy buy a syringe and glycerin use the syringe to fill and push the diaphragm down , fill the line to the gauge and it will work. i like snubbers better than needle valves and make my own for about $2 connect the gauge to the injection pump and not before the filter, change the filter when the load pressure drops about three lbs from normal, the dirtier a filter is the better it filters and be sure to drain the canister before changing filter and keep the center piece clean

take a 1/8" hex nipple find a rod that will fight tight in the nipple i used an aluminum rod from welding supply it does not even have to be metal the one i found was to tight so i used valve lapping compound and spun the fitting in a drill cut the rod the same length as the nipple and insert it connect one end to the grease gun hose with a collar and connect the fitting and copper line to the other side

WOW that snubber sounds a little tricky to make.
I got it to work with the isolator. I took it appart, set the Diaphram, got new compression fittings and used larger tubing, bled it and all that and when I turned the key she jumped to 7psi.
I have solid 7psi no matter what. Fire it up-7psi, stomp on it-7psi. Okay for now I guess but I think I should have the Air Dog on in the next 3 weeks. I am still not 100% compfortable on it!?!? I may try the needle valve when I hook up the AD, we will see.

all the needle valve or snubber does is steady the gauge it will vibrate with out it but the isolator does this also you do not need both now that you have it properly charged it will be ok

I,ll tell you one thing though, on the way to work this morning, that isolator is a noisy little thing.
Is that just the CP3 pulsing and now i can hear it in the isolator?? It is right in front of me on the firewall.
