Fuel Pressue Reading Questions

I've read alot about fuel pressure readings and my question is were do you Guys get your numbers from? Injection pump or lift pump? And is there any differance in the readings? Good or Bad? And finally which one is more accurate? Mine is at the injection pump, removed test port and installed. It seems to me this would be the most accurate because its the exact pressure the injection pump is seeing. Thanks Tye

The only thing I've heard that's bad about checking it there is the pulsations from the injection pump will hurt the guage.

Mine is taken off the bottom of the filter housing, is post filter, and just prior to the VP44,
but far enough away to avoid the pulsations.

Also leaves the test port free for whatever Dodge might need it for if I take it in complaining of a bad lift pump.
