TST Settings
Does any one know what settings change what on the TST r-37 ??
How about which ones are safe to run with the crazy larry or performance setting? I have run it Performance and hp3/ tq1 and it seems to chatter as i let off from about half throttle.
I've also ran it on Crazy Larry and hp2/tq0, lots of power and smoke streams from both duals but if balz out it will freeze my outlook???

With that stack you're draining your rail pretty quickly... I think a pump may be in order...
I would be able to drain the rail with my Bully Dog in Tow (60hp) and the TST at 5-5 or so. With the CL being more than triple the hp of tow, I would imagine it does not take much on the TST to drain the rail.
Also keep in mind that the 1 (hp) setting on the TST is timing only. You've got a lot of timing when stacked with the CL.

I would imagine it smokes like mad and EGT's are out of control. When the rail pressure drops, the fuel isn't atomized as well which results in a lot of smoke and heat.
Hey- At least you guys both have manuals!
By the way, that 3rd gen will smoke you before long

Actually his egts while towing dropped about 200* when the TST is on 1/1. His egts are surprisingly low with that turbo. That 3rd gen probably will get me now, but I just like busting his chops. That truck flat out runs since he added the TST, I'm kicking myself for getting it for him. We'll see who wins the sled pulls this year. My money is on the 99.Attachment 20194
1/1 is timing only. Only when level 2 or higher is selected in the "Power" setting does the "Torque" setting have any effect. Basically 1600rpm fueling isn't increased until 2900rpm fueling is set to level 2 or higher...

That is the kind of info he's been looking for, wasn't sure how the settings worked. I didn't think the standard TST added timing, atleast this is what I've been told.
