TST Boost Elbow, Yes or No?
The boost elbow that came with my first EZ box gave me quicker spool. I guess it was worth it.
I just got a used TST and it didn't have the elbow. I wonder if I need it with the aftermarket turbo? I have an adjustable elbow coming with my EZ and I may try it if just plugging the EZ in doesn't bring my boost numbers up....

With as much as I could blow by the factory WG, I just left the stock elbow in... Still hit 35lbs and held it, crazy huh?

Hate to be a nitpicker here but the TST elbow's screw is not designed to be backed out.
That is info I gathered from TST. They do not want it falling out.
I tried backing one out of the "adjustable" elbow screws last year and after the fact I could only keep it in there with teflon tape until I got home and replaced it with a full flow elbow.
They are descending thread and can only be snugged up and not backed out.
Hate to be a nitpicker here but the TST elbow's screw is not designed to be backed out.

BUT... I put a little thread goop around mine and got it to open right at 32psi - not the 45 they had set the first batch at... And it always held, BOMBER beware I say
It would certainly suck to have it fall out! Not good at all...

Another thing you should check is your drive pressure.
When I installed my Hot Juice with Attitude, I installed the elbow that came with it. Later under the suggestion of Lenny at DDP I had my drive pressure checked. Boost was at 39-40#'s, drive pressure was 65#'s+! He told me to put the stock elbow back in as soon as I could because the drive pressure (exhaust side of turbo) was much too high. When I got home, I changed to the stock elbow, still have 39-40#'s of boost, got a boost gauge and some copper tubing, removed the pyro and installed the boost gauge, my drive pressure went down to 52#'s, not ideal but alot better. From my understanding you want to have a 1:1 drive vs boost pressure.
So what I'm trying to say, is that depending on your rig and the modification you may not need or want a different boost elbow.

Thanks for the input.....I was just going to stick with the stock boost elbow anyways....but wanted to hear others experiences!
Hopefully soon I can have a bigger turbo......but I may need to get a second job...as you all know it just never ends!!!!!!!

Drive pressure can be read on the exhaust along with egt temp.
Boost is read from anywhere in the charge air system going into your truck.
IE intake arm, intake manifold, charge air pipes to and from intercooler etc.
