Yes, Yes, Yes....

Finally got the DTT trans work done this past Sat. What a world of difference from the stock Chrysler slush box! Now I am ready to start bombing, not severe tho...only going up to about 300-350 hp...I think. Unless I get the bombing bug bad. I think I will start with an edge ez and then maybe some injectors. Oh and yes I have a gauge pod and gauges on the way. Just wanted to let anyone know that the trans upgrade is worth the money.

I have the EZ with my DTT tranny and truck runs great. I had planned on doing DD2's right away after the tranny upgrade, but have decided to wait until my 60 month 100K warranty is up. Truck runs so much better now even without the EZ I enjoy driving it much more than when it was stock.

Next week I'm towing for the 1st time since the tranny work, can't wait to see the difference.

A long time ago I set out a list of what I wanted to do to the truck so far as power. Don't have much left now, mod to the turbo, four inch down pipe, and bypass oil filter. Anything else that I do to the engine will be passive, no timing or fuel enhancement. Oh yeah I will be going for an exhaust brake, waiting on the four inch system first, that starts with the turbo. At this point I am very satisfied with the performance of the Cummins. Don't want to mess that up.

Thats funny shovelhead, I think that's going to happen to me to bomb until the cows come home. only thing thats going to slow down the process is money. just spent $3600.00 on the trans sooooooo talking the better half into more might take some work.

I will be installing my DTT in two weeks, Hope to have the same satisfaction. I have some bombs already but the original tranny just does not perform. Later

Re:Yes, Yes, Yes....

Get the Comp instead of the EZ and don't pierce the pump wire until you want to. That way IF the BOMB BUG bites you won't be selling an EZ

Ditto what he said. I've got my COMP hooked up that way now and it's really nice. The in cab adjustability is really nice and easy.

Re:Yes, Yes, Yes....

I don't like the slight knock that an EZ gives a cold engine after the first start. I am in the habit of turning my Comp off when I shut down and then turn it on after I am on the road and operating temps are up. The Comp is the only way to go.

Re:Yes, Yes, Yes....

IF YOU DO DECIDE... to pierce the wire you WON'T unhook it ;D

You have the tranny and it will be 8) because the difference with the wire is HUGE!!!!

Re:Yes, Yes, Yes....

If I had it to do over again I would buy the Comp and wait to pierce the wire. EZ is nice but someday I might want more ;D ;D....................

My F-350 had an upgraded tranny and it shifted great!

I just picked up an '03 3500 today and realized just how mushy a stock tranny feels. I didn't like the harsh shifts on my F-350 at first, but now I miss them.

Been there, done that, won't happen!

Hit 404RWHP plate full forward, fried TST clutch in sled pull running at everyday setting of 360RWHP. Now going bigger! HX40 & SBC DD! ;D

Its an addiction!
