I installed the TST power max 2 and it suggested something about removing the stock brass elbow from the front of the turbo compressor and replacing it with a brass turbo boost controler.
Since my powermax is second hand, it didnt come with this part. It seems to run good with the stock elbow. I was just wanting some information on this thing. What are the advantages of having one........performance?..........lower egt's,.........safety from screwin everything up?lol. Where can i get one? How much does it cost?
Also, if this thing doesn't lower my egt's, whats a dangerous egt? Mine norm runs bout 800 deg. But during acceleration under a very heavy load it can reach 1400 deg.
I would appreciate any information or ideas u may have, thanks a lot.

 

The boost elbow will allow higer boost. Stock is 18 or 20. I'm not sure about your set up as I have the comp, but after I installed mine I now see 35 lbs. The higher boost will help your egt's. You can call edge and probably get an elbow from them or call the makers of your box. Hope this helps.
