Toyo vs Nitto
Thanks for the reply, Tim. Good to have a Nitto rep around here now. I would DEFINATELY love to pick your brain about upcoming models and perhaps offer suggestions regarding some sizing/load range options, if they are feasible.
for my next set or go back to the BFG Rugged trail. I wish they came in a 285 instead of a 265.[/QUOTE]
I agree those things last forever been trying to kill mine for a while so i could upgrade. Looking at the toyo' mt in a 35" on the stock rims just worried i will be dissapointed if they rub to much with a 2" level kit. Dont think you can beat the stockers as far as tire life is concerned

Got 20-30,000 outta my last 4 sets on two different trucks (Toyo at's, truxus mt, truxus at sts) and gitting about the same just a little better with the procomps so I think its a crap shoot with my driving "style".
I have a set of Terra Grapplers, they were on my 04.5 now on my 08, IN have about 30,000 miles on them and have about 50 % tread left. The 285's are showning great wear patterns, and no abnormal shimmy's yet. I bought them for the great white north when we are hunting, they have performed to my exspectations. I have not tried the toyo at all so I cannot comment on these tires. I will buy another set of Nitto when these are worn out.

I have 37" Toyo Open Country MT's and I have never been so happy with a tire. I cant recommend them enough. Mind you I have only had them on the diesel, so might be the combo of the weight and the tire that makes them grab so well on the snow and ice. But Im quite happy with them. If they had more size combinations Id be buying them in the 40's.
I will continue to buy them when these wear out to use in the winter....

I just put a set of 10 ply 265-70-17 Toyo AT s on my dads 2wd supercrew. Look great, feel much better than the stockers, and look like the'll last much longer than my Nittos are doing. I like my Nittos, have 35,000 miles on em and look to get 20k more, but I will be trying out the Toyos on my truck next.
