If you lift one of these trucks without longer arms it, in effect, pulls the front axle toward the rear fender. therefore by installing longer control arms with the lift if keeps the factory geometry the same and the coil spring will still be centered on the axle like it is supposed to be.

oh ok, i guess i misunderstood his statement about pushing the axle 1" forward. i thought he meant literally moving the axle forward and achieving a longer wheelbase...something that might look cool. i have seen this done with leaf sprung trucks, but on coil setup, i'm sure it may involve a bit more. i.e. relocating spring mounts...

Now, I could be wrong about his statement, maybe I took it wrong BUT when you lift a truck if you dont move the arms it "pulls" the axle back so to correct the problem you have to "move it forward" so to speak.

Oh, and Wiggs, if I spent my $ on the surgery how could I have enough $ to make my truck go faster?...

I don't know if that is true but I am movig my axle forward 1" ahead of where it was in stock fom since the arc of turning the wheels actually causes the rubbing point to be on the cab side not the front bumper side. This way, with my road armo bumpers, I will have plenty of clearance!

darren while I was right in my explainations I want to make it clear that I was WRONG about Ds turck, he is infact moving his axle forward past the factory setting by 1". Sorry for any confusion or missleading.

D, I guess I just need to take out a loan cause the truck alone is about to break me as it is.

I know what you mean about breaking the bank. It seems the more money I have to spend on the truck, the more I do!

Barely louder than stock. They have the Semi "humm" to them that I love. Definitely NOT like a Nitto or something like that. Very civil manners on the highway @ 75-80.
