Sorry to do this...
I hate asking questions about stuff that's been pounded into the dirt already, but I couldn't find my answer in the forum search. So, here goes: I'm looking for a stock replacement, re-usable, DRY (not an oiler), air filter. I don't wanna mess with re-oiling and screwing up MAF, etc. Just kind of a pain. Preferably something better than stock. Anybody know of one and where to get it? Thanks.

Which one is that? I have just the AFE also and the directions said it needed to be reoiled after cleaning. As a matter of fact it came preoiled.

I've got a BHAF on mine right now, but I'm seriously considering going back to stock airbox, or to something like a AEM DryFlow. I really like the Volant box, but it has an oiled filter. I may get that and fit an AEM in it? Who knows....

According to fleetfilter.com, the napa gold 2846 flows 675 CFM. My MPG stays consistent even when this filter appears very dirty. I believe it must have a very high dirt holding capacity before it shows restriction. BHAF 42790 is rated at 680 CFM.

remember a high CFM rating is inversly proprtional to the filtration. I.E. the more it can flow, the larger the particles that will allow to pass thru it. The larger BHAF filters will inheirently last longer due to greater surface area. I trust the BHAF and it's little brother that I use (MSAF) even if it doesnt have the highest CFM ratings. Although, time has come to develop a new heat shield and introduce cool air to the filter.
