Yeah, they are Super Singles!
I was thinking of throwing two of those bad boys on the back and have the outside tire stick out about 16" on each side!

Let's see, that would make me about 10'4" wide in the rear, tire to tire!

Tell me that wouldn't be funny!

I bet the cops will love that! Not to mention you wouldn't have to worry about somebody side swiping the body of the truck You should do it for a sled pull... I wonder if the driveline would hold the up??? Axles would..."fall down, go boom"

I would be doing an axle swap with a Kenworth W900 as opposed to another Dodge!

Wiggs, can you 3rd gen guys do the 2 wheel low kit? i dunno if you have a central axle disconnect or not...but the second gen guys with CAD put a vacuum switch in the line so you can control whether the front end locks in 4wd low or not.

if not, then you could always get the dyna-trac free spin locking hub kit. leave them unlocked and put it in 4 low for a 2wd low...its expensive but given Opti's past mods...i don't think it would matter LOL

We don't have the option of the axle disconnect, ours just disconnects at the T-case. You'd have to do the lockouts, but then he couldn't run the pretty centercaps on his Alcoa's

Think about it. Optimus's specs would be:

Front Axle AAM 9.25 (8,000lb. Max-or whatever it is)
Rear Axle AG690 (69,000lb. max)

It would be nice to have a quiet truck again! I start off in 2nd w/o throttle every time, just like a stocker... I wonder if your wheels and tires are why you can't do it?
This is exactly why it has not been done in the past, for fear that the spring designs would not be adequate. The spring assemblies I am using are the same that are used in freightliners. I don't think we will have a problem with longevity/strength...
