So I was searching ebay for a stock cp3 and come across this one. If this is the wrong place for this someone please move it but I just had to share this with everybody.

MMMmmmm.... Grits!!
I am supposed to get mine replaced this coming week at the dealer. Because it is warranty they'll be getting me a new one, $4600. They do offer a re-man and I think it's around $2200. I had to get the Srvc Mgr's approval to get new though.

At Mopar Parts it shows injection pump running $1067.00 No core.It does NOT give a part number or mention if its a reman.Reman part numbers have a "R" in them.

The actual dealer cost of a brand new Bosch CP3 is just over $500. Talk about getting ripped!
I am not sure, but I really don't think anyone is rebuilding these pumps other than adding a new seal kit. The reman units are probably in-spec pumps with new seals.

On those modified CP3 pumps what is all done to the pumps that makes them worth so much money? For example on a LS1 oil pump all they do is port the passages and put a stiffer spring for more pressure. Is this pretty much whats is being done to the CP3 pumps?
