Was it 7/70,000 or 7/100,000?

Was it 7/70,000 or 7/100,000?

When I purchased my truck back in February of 2002, I swear Dodge had a promotion running for 7 years/100K miles. Does anyone else remember this? When I had it in recently for drivetrain service. The service writer commented on how I had just got in under the gun with 69,000 miles.

there was a warranty change. i am not sure as to the dates. i think the earlier ones had the 3 year 36,000 with the cummins engine only 5 year 100,000. the later sold ones have the basic 3/36,000 and a 5 or 7 100,000 on the powertrain with a 100.00 ded. you need to have a dealer pull your vin and check both factory and service contract. reason for service contract is that the powertrain extension is that. if the dealer does not pull the service contract and look he could send you away telling you the repair is not covered. it was confusing for the dealer as well as the customer. the powertrain extension is afforded to the first/original buyer. it is not transferable.

I've got the 7/100.... (but I also purchased the full bumper to bumper as well...)

I believe the $100 deductible takes effect when your normal 3/36 would have run out...

When I purchased mine in April of 02, the DC warranty on the whole truck was 7/70. Cummins had 100K on the engine only. They shortly switched the DC warranty to 3/36 not long after I bought mine....

I checked with my selling dealer, and they told me mine is 7 years/100,000 miles. I bought mine in Feb. 2002 also......Not that I'm expecting anything to go wrong in the next 30,000 miles.

Dang you put a lot of miles on.

Got mine the exact same day and I just broke 36,000.

Only have a 30 mile daily commute though.

One warranty down.

For some reason my 01 has been covered under three separate warranties, none of which I directly paid for (that I know of), Cummins 5/100K on the engine, DC 7/100K on the rest of the drivetrain, and 7/70 for the rest, at least thats the way the service guys have explained to me, some things covered under this or that others under somthing else, but everything with a $50 ded. Really strange and impossible to sort out. Not that it will all matter shortly... only 11K left to go until the engine is broken in and warranties are all gone.

I bought my 2002 3500 in 08/02. The way I understood it was 7/100 engine, 7/70 drivetrain, 3/36 bumper to bumper .
