RP over 26000 on stock cp3

On the way home from work today i noticed my rp gauge reading 16000 psi at idle and the CEL on and running 26000+ driving easy. My PMT says injector control metering valve malfunction and fuel rail pressure high. I've got a cp3 in the mail should i run the truck like this or leave it parked?

I think you either have a failed RP sensor or a bad FCA. Does the PMT normally read RP? If so and it isn't working now, then you have a bad RP sensor.

If you have a pressure box, depending on where your RP guage is pluged it could be the reason for the high numbers.

The pmt hasn't ever read rail pressure(i'm assuming is the same is ICP) for some reason and bully dog couldn't tell me why. I'm going by the reading on my quad rp gauge and i dont have a pressure box. It'll be fine sometimes and other times its really high. When its high like that it runs really rough at idle but its fine when you lay into it

RP sensor is going out if it idles really rough, and your RP gauge cuts in and out, is it still under warranty?

it idles really rough, but the gauge is working fine. It's still under warranty but if i can get it narrowed down to the cp3 i'm not going to mess with having it warrantied just going to swap in my arson one when i get it in the next couple days. So it has to be either the FCA or the RP sensor? Anything else it could be?

Well..................if your quad RP gauge is reading fine then I'm kinda leaning back on the fca. Do you have one you can swap in there. I can send you both if you have the time for shipping.

Try taking your quad rp guage out of the mix. I've heard that the quad guage can make the truck run funy sometimes.

unhooked the rp gauge and it didn't help. Left the truck idleing and tapped on the side of the fca and problem fixed, well not fixed but it runs right for the moment. Thanks guys

Thats odd my very old outlook monitor reads ICP, and is spot on. I wonder why that very expensive PMT doesnt. I would not be happy having to spend more money and buy another RP gauge.

The PMT is supposed to, it has the gauge for it. It just never worked on my truck for some reason, and bully dog couldn't say why.
