Your thinking your truck will only baseline at around 220hp???? Sounds pretty low.

I really don't care what my truck makes stock. I was just assuming a 30% drivetrain loss, which means the more power you make at the crank, the more is lost... I was only testing to find the best combo with these two boxes. If you calculate this it makes more sense...

Stock: (325hp crank) - (30%drivetrain loss) = 227.5RWHP
Bully dog: (453.96 crank) - (30%drivetrain loss) = 349.2RWHP

With this calculation the BD makes 129hp at the crank...

 

I dynoed my 04 stock at 268 hp rear wheels.

Question... I loaded extreme from my Bully Dog.. I get no smoke whatsoever. Is it cause you can't lug an automatic?

 

ok fellas...just got the powerpup as well and tow is a nice extra boost in the seat with a small bit of smoke on WOT ,,,

performance is a and it will spin the tires for a short bit and smoke is nice but almost too nice

extreme is ..not only does this thing smoke like a banshee but it breaks the tires loose with ease...

just my opinions..extreme is almost too much for me but why not use it if you have it..right??

Bully/Dog has a new program for the 2004 autos gives more power on insane mode and preformance mode, you need to send it in and get it reprogramed. The first box I received from B/Dog
neted me 34 hP on insane mode
The new program is almost to touchie on throtle respoance. in the insane mode

 

When did this new program show up? I just got the thing Wed. How do you know what revision you have and what is the purpose of the USB port?

The BullyDog web site says....

"The Power Pup gives user the choice between four different, proven not claimed, power programs: Stock, Tow (50-70hp), Performance (90 hp) or Extreme (130 hp). "

Proven hp? Four programs????

Yea I'm sending it in alright. I have the Monitor also and it's not reading boost correctly and not catching high boost correctly. Yea... I'm sending it back.. that's a given. I don't see any quality in the product. The documentation stinks, I called tech support and got the runaround about why the high boost reading is incorrect.

Also noticed the people who I thought were in the know aren't answering any of these posts.

Not so the case with the competition.

I talked with Jeff at Bully Dog when my box only put down 34 hp He explaned that they had a problum with the early 2004 and that they had a fix I sent them my box and they sent me one with the new program. You must have got one of the boxes out of eraly stock. the USB port is for up dating, but it is not ready to use yet.
