Injector install difficulty??

Injector install difficulty??

Wondering if anyone has put new nozzles on before? I have the instructions and they make it sound fairly time consuming? Just thought i could get some pointers or maybe help from someone with expierence I will buy the cold ones

its not that bad but I would have someone around that has done it before. there are a couple good threads on here about it. if you are mechanically inclined you will be fine. if you arent have someone help you. just make sure with a common rail being high pressure be careful.

It's not that hard. Just be sure you have accurate torque wrenches and know how to use them. When you pry the injectors out of their bore I found it easier to use 1 flatblade screwdriver prying on the side and the other hand on top keeping the injector centered. At first I was popping them out with 2 screwdrivers and it worked but was much rougher.

To give you an idea it took me about 4hrs to remove them the very first time. The 2nd time I did it with a broken right hand (of course I'm right handed) and had them out in about 1.5 - 2 hours.

if you've never done them before, start early as it might turn into an all day project. Not a super complex task, but there's lots of things that can go wrong if you aren't paying close attention to detail.
