Unhappy HELP!!! very frustrated...bought and installed an edge w/ attitude and nothing but...

the egt moniter works! boost-nothing, speed-nothing, performace-nothing, eng temp-constantly at 40*...

i just installed the 3rd one, same thing! edge says it is my factory computer and to take it to the dealer...what am i supposed to say, "my comp doest interface w/ my edge, replace it???"

any help would be appreciated greatly as i just bought this truck and put new tires, fender flares, air bag leveler, rs 9000s, and new bumpers, all at the same time as the edge(which was the last thing installed of course)!!! so needless to say very upset.

Try some dilectric grease on the connections or just try a different brand of box!

It would help if you filled out your signature or was specific as to what the truck is, year, trans, gear, etc.

You say you tried 3 different Juice modules, was this the Juice and Attitude replaced with different modules?? I would agree that maybe the Data Link to the ECM is not connected correctly. Sound like you have fuse tap correct if the EGTs are displaying correctly. Does the truck run normally with everything hooked up??

sorry...it is an 03 2500 4x4 QC 6spd...yes the truck runs the same as before with everything hooked up. the only thing that works is the egt, and the eng temp reads a constant 40*.

It really soundsl like either the data link is not sending the data, or the plug at the link is not making a connection.

Then I am assuming that you have the correct Edge Juice/Attitude for a 2003 305/555, manual trans truck. And that Edge has sent you replacement Juice and Attitude modules to try??? Who did you buy the Juice/Attitude module from???

One PITA way to test the Juice/Attitude is find another 2003 6sp and try in on that truck. That would certainly prove whether it is the Juice/Attitude or your connections or ECM. I know that is not what you want to hear..

Well, if the data link on the stock computer is not working, then if you go to the dealer and tell them this/ask to check, it should not work for the either...and if not, get it fixed.... i dunno, just an idea.

triple check the data link connection. if not then ask the dealer to verify the data link.

it has to be the data link if this is the third one. the odds on getting three strait bad boxed with the same exact faliure are not very good.

The problem is that the dealer does not use the 3 pin weather pack (flat black connector coming out of the engine harness). The dealer uses the OBDII connector under the dash in the cab.

That flat black connector is for Cummins.
