Georend
Just installed:
Billet flexplate
Triple disc converter
Billet input
Billet apply lever, anchor and strut
Extra servo spring
Valve body
Haven't driven it much, but all I can say is WOW!! Truck drives much more smooth and has much less turbo lag. Shifts are nice and smooth. Georend is the man!
Definately a worth while upgrade, even on a stock truck.
Thanks,
Tobin

I have heard nothing but good about his trannys. Congrats!
Man, if you get over 600 hp, you might want to look at a billet output... trust me on this...

I was thinking about going to a billet output, but I haven't upgraded my intermediate shaft either, sooooo I was kind of hoping that the output would be the weak link and break without tearing up anything else in the trans.

I had those questions too, but the intermediate rarely brakes. The big reason that the output brakes is there is so much stress on it... the 2wd's don't have this problem, because they are not transferring all that power to the transfer case.

Congrats on movin' up! Welcome to the club.
Yeah, I'm afraid I've got too many parts on the shelf of shame too. But like we used to say when I raced motocross, if you ain't crashin' you ain't goin' fast enough. Then my racing partner broke his neck at the Paris supercross just after winning it... I quit racing. Starting to feel the same about the truck... parts are just too expensive.
Back to the thread... I left my output stock for the weak link on purpose. Now that I've weak linked it enough... I will go billet next time around and throw in a billet intermediate too on the next tranny rebuild. Something these high HP wannabes should keep in mind... even the best built trannys tend to wear out faster, even if they don't break, and need to be gone through more often. Some of the bigger pullers and draggers might go through them after every season. Chris Werner with his 1450hp monster goes through his once to twice a year. Point is, getting the HP might be cheap, keeping to the ground ain't.
