late 01-current PSD are powdered metal conn rods,I had an 02 PSD and it had them.They are supposedly weak after a certain HP but nothing was solid,some had failures on stock trucks.That was probably the most important reason why I went to CTD,it still has the forged steel conn rods,but I think they are cracked cap,but still forged.I emailed cummins to get a straight answer will let you guys know what they say.
