gear?

so looks like i will be buying or trading my 373's if i want new gears in my 03 so now my next question is 410's or 456's i run a 35 inch tire that might as well be a 37 and if i lift it it will prob get a little bigger, so what does everyone think this is my DD so milage is a factor but between the two gears will it be that much of a difference? and with the tire size i was figuring it will probably not change the RPMS to much. also where is a good place to buy them any suggestions?

thanks chris

With a lift and 37" tires or bigger your mileage shouldn't be a factor!!
With that out of the way go 4:56

My 4.10 and .73 OD with oem tires ~31" still tops out ~100 mph. Do a search on gear calculators and figure it out. OD ratio x r&p ratio = final drive ratio. I have a sliding gear calculator and I'm using .76 OD for you cuz I can't see what trans you have. 4.56 w/35s would put it at ~91 mph at 3k rpm and ~96 w/37s. So 4.56 will be a little slower than my 4.10 with 31". 4.32 gears should put you ~100 maybe a little more. That's all with guessing at .76 OD. 03 should have AAM 11.5" but there were so many mixtures of components in early 03, I would verify that. My 10-02 truck has AAM. Craig

Thanks C yea sounds about right I have a 03 47re transmission with just about everything I can do to it done to it. I think a 4.56 is where I want to be with it.

Thanks to Klenger for this

thanks for the help guys, does anyone run or know anyone that runs a 4.56 DD? i don't tow hardly ever with this truck so im not really very worried about it, the research i have done says with 37's and 4.10's i will be close to the stock ratio, but im wondering if a 4.56 would be to much to be a DD i do do some highway and 55+ driving not to much actual city driving. i just don't want to buy them and be disappointed with my choice.

ive read that the 35" and 4.10 ratio is like stock tires with 3.73.That being said if you go 4.10 with 37s expect to lose a bit of low end,or you can do the 4.56 if the highway rpms dont bother you.I plan on going to 4.10 when I find my money tree.
