what the gear ration in 4th gear on the 48re

?

curious as to the gear ratio on the 48re in 4th gear?

here

so this begs the question, the ratio for the 48re in 4th is .690, and on the Allison, the ratio in 6th gear is .710 even though the 48re is only 4 gears, the tallest gear on the 48re is taller and should equate into higher MPG.................no?

NOt necessarily. It depends on the engine load, BSFC curve, and such like that.

and on the Allison, the ratio in 6th gear is .710
that 0.71 is the 5th gear od.. 6th is 0.61...
