Edge Hot Juice concern...
Edge Hot Juice concern...
I have noticed the past few times of playing around on level 6 (hot) that there is some SERIOUS defueling going on...even when I am just rolling around at 600* on level 6, then romp down on it, almost IMMEDIATELY it starts cutting in and out BADLY...like a VERY harsh defueling feeling...kind of like a serious miss...it also doesn't seem to feel very much stronger than level 5 as far as picking up speed...anybody else notice anything like this with their Hot upgrade?
Nah, I don't have a fuel pressure gauge...the only thing that I can think of is that I am draining my rail maybe with the Hot Juice and the Puck...I turned all the settings way up (i.e. max egt 1500*, max boost 50psi, etc) and it still defueled hardcore...upgraded fuel system sounds like it might be the next thing to come...
Have you tried runing the hot j without the puck.
I was running the juice with the hot unlock and had no problems, it was awesome. I even stacked it with my dr.p 100 hp pressure box a couple of times and still no problems except for the stock clutch screamin for mercy.

Lift pump might be the issue, but my dad runs his 06 with the hot juice and an mp8 and he hasn't upgraded the lift pump yet. when is the last time you changed your fuel filter? setting the safety features all the way up won't stop it from defueling completely. hit the enter button twice fast and it will allow you to completely dissable the backdown for the amount of time you enter.

You definitely need a FP gauge for the lift pump.
The stock lift pumps can be all over the place. Some people have no problems running a Smarty on higher levels with the stock system. I couldn't even run level 5 without my pressures dropping down to "0". On levels 7 and 9 mine would bounce or surge the RPM's at around 2200 when at WOT.

This may sound stupid, however did you check to see if you have the defueling set for tranny slip? I'm sure the 48re is slipping on "HOT"
