I know I have mentioned my reluctance on the Garretts before because of the BB design and how will they hold up to the soot levels(oil) of a diesel.Has there been any difinitive answers or testing on the longevity of them on a diesel or are you(Soulezoo)/Piers learning as you go?They sound great but the cost combined with the minimal useage(diesels)makes me very hesitant to purchase them.Also how do the shaft sizes compare to the S300/S400?I'm in no way knocking your set-up,just trying to learn all I can.

 

I've read that the shaft size tends to be smaller, but the bb system supports it so much better than journal bearings that it tends to be a stronger overall setup.
