Was just wondering what the stall is on the 5 star converters and what the people that are running them are experiencing. I have one and may be having problems with it. It is really loose and I just wanted to here from others running on to see if it is normal or if I may indeed have a problem with mine. Don't start bashing ATS, I have had a few small issues that were handled with top notch customer service and other than that this trans has been top notch.

i dont know the stall is but if your used to a converter in a 2nd gen truck the same converter will feel looser in a 3rd gen truck.

I honestly don't know, I think ATS is the best place to ask.

Did you know stall speed rises along with HP.

I'm running the 5 star converter and I can say it is way tighter than the OEM converter was.

 

I would give ATS a shout and ask them directly as well as discuss any issues you are having with them. My experience with ATS has been a good one, good people and and top notch service

 

Mr Webb of Suncoast (R.I.P) and Jeff Garmon experimented with a 5 disc converter in the past and ended up going back to a triple disc. Don't remember the reason, but remember the conversation.

I don't have a problem with ATS or their Customer service, I was just wondering what others are experiencing with the 5 star converter to see if I had a problem or if this was normal. I will give them a call and see if they can tell me what stall it is suposed to be and if it can be changed.

OK, it just looks like what you call chit chattin' is a round about way of inferring that the 5 star converter [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']might[/FONT] be a bad design which doesn't contribute to the forum in a positive way.
