Alright so with all the talk of pressure and DD being so bad I decided to stop running beta 4.2 and go to 4.1? or whatever the latest software on mads sight is and give it a try. Well I guess my truck likes pressure after running 4.2 for over a year. After downloading 4.1 I got an immediate stumble at start up and a rather large cloud of white smoke but after about 10 seconds she smoothed out. So I ran her to full temp shut her down for an 1 hr to 1 1/2 and tried her again. This time no stumble but a bit of white smoke. I am going to let her sit overnight and try her again in the A.M., but has anyone else had any little issues when chaninging from one software to the next? And dont say injectors this is my second set, and if they were going to be an issue they would have been worse with added pressure, so any ideas?????????

Oh and I forgot to mention while the 4.1 doesnt have the power of the betas it is a very smooth and clean program that works very well on my truck. Well besides the little issue stated above.

the stumble and white smoke does sound like an injector problem. the stumble by itself could be a bad pressure relief valve- the added pressure from the smarty pressure tune, could have been covering up the pressure loss that you get when the truck sits overnight. have you ever had the cold start/white smoke re-flash from dodge?

No I dont want the dealership touching my truck. My truck has always started very fast, and very clean. The last time I hd a white smoke issue it was injectors, but this is my newer set and im not seeing any of the other signs. Your theory makes sense, who knows for sure though.

mine runs great with 4.4 and 4.11. i hope 4.4 doesnt hurt my inj. but then again I haven't been running it all that long.

Why don't you try the 4.2 again and see if it fixes it?

Im gonna run it for a few days and see how it goes, I may be going back to the 4.2 for good but my injectors may not like me.

rye have you talked to bob about getting the revo? hope you get the fat girl running good. I ran the 4.2 or 4.3 cant remember which one but my truck didnt run to good and threw codes, so I went back to the 4.4 and it does pretty well.
about all of the other tunes seem to run well also

LIL old 3.5s , but really when I got them I thought I was one of the big dogs. Now guys are DD 5's and 6's, so Im back to mini me status.
