the new trucks have to have ULSD and your not supposed to run LSD in them. probably just havent chaged the stickers on the pumps. most places have all but converted to the mountain dew

there only has to be 80% change over in fuel to ULSD to meet the EPA requirements... so LSD is still being sold and I'm sure many people don't know they shouldn't run it in there brand new 6.4L, 6.7L or LMM...

So you think people should read the owners manual and learn something about their new truck like what fuel to put in it? If so you sure do want a lot by thinking that people should read it

it says on the gauge cluster of the new trucks "Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel Only" so hopefully people pay attention. I just got an LMM duramax and know exactly where to get fuel to make sure its ULSD

the best thing to do is stop at one of your newer large truck stops on the interstate around your area, chances are there is ULSD there. I get mine at my local Stuckeys

Don't know where you are, but all the stations around here have the ULSD, now their off road might be LSD. Yes I have come across some that still just have the LSD for road & off road but not around my town.

In central WI yesterday I had my choice between LSD and ULSD. Be careful it is still out there. Or like me, fill up while you can becuase sooner or later we will be stuck with ULSD. Unless of course I get a new truck then I will be happy with the ULSD.

ULSD is a 100% mandate in the year 2010.. which is also the year for the next change in EPA diesel emission requirements... thankfully, the 6.7L meets those requirements in it's current trim.

You can run LSD in a ULSD truck. It says it in the owners manual. Cummins knew that the prublic would run into this issue so the 6.7 is backwards compatable if necessary. So, you can run LSD but try not to run in 100% of the time.
