I've noticed that on my 06 it will not idle up above 1100 Rpm's at first start up then once its warm it will do 1500 Rpm's.

then have it enabled, or buy a programmer that does it.
mine works great. took 10 minutes to install the pin.

at least this is how the nv5600 folks do it.
I have an `04.5 w/ 5600. So, this is ALL that I would have to do to add the high idle option to my junk? Is there a detailed write-up on this? I`d be willing to do it if it hasn`t been done.

Thanks DTR, your a wealth of knowledge!

will this procedure work on an 07 6.7?????

Mastercaster, does the truck know if it is in gear or is it just when you shove the clutch down it disengages?? You sparked a thought about a remote starter!!

the truck doesn't really know if it's in gear per say, but as you know, to start the truck, you have to have the clutch depressed. there is a switch that detects that. there are a couple of companies that make quality remote start units for manuals, but i can't think of the names off hand. i'll get them for you though.
