High idle

I had the high idle enabled today and it cost me $53. I found that to be a bit high for 10 minutes of really no work.

Am I just being cheap or is that about what you all have paid?

Usuall the dealership will do it for free when you complain about long warm ups, poor cabin heat etc. There was actually a TSB for problems associated with these trucks and ideling too much. Should not have charged you as long as your 08 was still under the 3year/36k warranty.

my dealer did mine for free also. but, the tech had never done a G56 high idle on the 6.7, so i set the stuff up then just had him turn it on. he said they usually charge too. just didn't because he learned something i guess.

Could I get a location to this TSB so I can print it off and go back up to the dealership for a refund?

Thanks!

I had it enabled for free too. Just rolled up to a dodge dealer one day and said the truck had bad in cab heat, slow warm ups, and they pulled it in and enabled it right then and there.

I got it doen for free, but the time I went to the bathroom for a No 1 break he had it done. Less than 2 minutes I'd guess.

I asked the srvc wrighter to take care of mine while it was in for the G30 recall, after we filled out the work order. Later he said the tech took care of it for me, and didn't charge me ... tipped him when he told me that, got home and found out they didn't activiate it. My dealer(s) can't figure out much of anything on this truck anyhow...

Also had mine done for free after a flash was done. They shouldn't charge for that
