Most of the world's polution is coming from china anyway and we have no control over that. You think that doesn't concern us but the way the jet stream flows, china's polution comes to our west coast and then spreads across the nation. Let alone Mexico problems. Larry, why can we talk about straight piping a 2nd gen but not the 3rd 6.7. I really want to know!! Thanks, RK

Many 2nd gens did not come with mandated smog equipment. All 3rd gens and up do though. Lots of guys discuss it here on the forums when talking about their off road trucks.

The independent truckers had better do it NOW then ...... NAFTA has resulted in several million replacements waiting for the American trucker's jobs. Down the road a ways and it will be much worse. Even union jobs are at risk which is why the Teamsters are fighting NAFTA so hard. We should all keep this in mind when we vote for the next president though it seems that NAFTA is loved by both sides ..... I guess it's all about the $$$$$ As usual

I believe the latest reports concerning the Mexican Truckers Pilot Program has been put on hold due to the Federal funding being pulled and the thousands of safety vilolations already recorded. I do know 1 Mexican company, with the most safety violations, has dropped out of the program.
