anyone see a hood like this yet?

 

I saw that hood on an '03 just last night. Who makes it? I couldn't tell you.

 

Thats the stock hood from the new srt-10. Its dodges new sport truck that has the new 8.3 liter viper engine. They may be able to get them for you at a dealership but thats going to big money. I am sure one of the companies out there has or will make something similar. My brother is big into sport trucks I will ask him and get back to you

 

You guys hit its thats the new truck! 500 HP from the factory! Should be a good run for the old CTD!

 

how about a cowl induction hood for an 03 i prefer steel.

 

That's the hood I am interested in also. It's the stock unit for the new SRT-10 Viper powered truck. If it's steel and functional (and can be adapted to a Cummins), I would REALLY want one bad.

 

Why does everyone want a steel hood? I'd prefer fiberglass. Although it is easier to damage, it does get some weight off the front end. I know. Our engine weighs almost a ton but hey, every little bit helps, right? And when you drag race, you want as little weight as you can up front so you can get good weight transfer (to a point that is. You need some weight to keep the front end down). I know weight transfer with our trucks is a moot point but like I said before, every little bit helps.

 

Last time I consulted my buddy that works at a DC ship he said that the hood was still not available to order and was not functional. That was in May.<br><br>BUMMER :'(

Yes Harwood has them for $449.00 bolt on 1-800-822-3392 and no i do not work for them it is in my (sorry) Super chevy magizine) does not say what material tho if you get one let me know how you like it ok --Glenn ;D
