6.7 performance, anything available yet?
you know I understand that this site has certain rules to follow. BUT what I dont understand is how putting all of this emissions stuff on our trucks is BETTER for the enviroment. I mean thanks to that stuff I burn TWICE as much fuel as I did in my 5.9.... So no pollution=more fossil fuels used. Not only that but what happens to the excess fuel caught by the dpf filter when regen kicks in and it is burnt off WHICH BY THE WAY lessens your fuel mileage even more..... just dont make sense... I gues the government can tax our fuel BUT NOT our pollution...
here in saskatchewan there are no emission tests a vehicle needs to pass, but i do not know what the law states. my dad owns a 6.7 and would like to free up the exhaust
To the original question: Programmers/boxes are the Edge/attitude, TS-MP8 (and shimming the fuel release), Bully Dog, and Superchips flashpaq. The Smarty release is waiting until the flashes either slow down or cease (at least that was the last thing I heard.) There are several air intakes, including AFE and S&B being the most popular, along with AEM and some others. Two companies make injectors, though they are pretty expensive. There are water/meth injection companies, snow performance and coolingmist. And finally you can get a F.A.S.S. system. With all that, you will need to upgrade either the tc or clutch, and a few companies are working on that (I think suncoast?). This may not all be 100% accurate but it is to the best of my knowledge correct. And about the illegal stuff, don't talk about that here, go somewhere else...
I am usually found in the 2nd gen forums, I'm new to this "that we do not speak of". I don't want to P.O. a moderator, but could someone pm me a "that we do not speak of" explanation just so that I know for future referrence. From a guess, I would say that it is exhaust related?

You have to start out in baby steps. I remember similair things like this happening in the 70's and now the effeciency of those engines has improved exponentially.
Whatever you want to know about the DPF is on the Cummins Forum http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/6-...ts-discussion/
What if I told you guys that EVERYONE will end up with either a CAT or a DPF on their truck??? And I mean ANY diesel. right down to the farm trucks.
would you believe it?? this would include vehicles without any form of emissions devices alredy in place......
what da ya think????

That's what every one said about catcons, and egr, and pcv, and..............
Back in the '60's, that would be...............
I'm looking at something from Superchips called CORTEX, an intelligent up\downloader programmer with extras, but can't get them to respond to emails - they claim one model services everything from the Chrysler logo to the 6.7
