What does a slipping clutch feel like/sound like?

I think my clutch is slipping. When i use #2 (tow) or #3 (drive) on my Edge Juice and get on it fairly hard, the rpm's go up but the truck doesnt respond until I let off and it catches up. Is this what clutch slip feels like? It has done it a few times so I keep it on 1 and dont get on it hard. Have I done permanent damage to the clutch? It seems like it slips easier now since I have done this a few times since the Juice install. When in stock It wont do it, but now I'm afraid that when I hook up to my trailer, I wont be able to pull it out of the driveway! Cause for concern? or don't worry about it and keep my right foot in check? Also, I have 22,000 miles on her so should I do a trans fluid drain and refill with synthetic? It just kinda worries me now the more I think about it.....

This is my first manual transmission guys, so it may seem like a noob question, and I guess it is, but since I don't know, I ask.

Sure sounds like it to me also. I'm surprised it does it on level 2 and 3 though. As for damage the more you do it the worse it will get, certainly not doing the flywheel any favours either.

I am going to buy an SBC MU 1947 Con OFE G56 and have it installed ASAP. I did my homework on clutches and will only buy from SBC!

Well you may want to throw Haisley Machine into your homework.

I did and it was a matter of personal choice. I have my reasons to choose SBC. Called my dealer today and was quoted 470 bucks to do it, which seems about the going rate. So now all I have to do is come up with the money for the clutch and install!
