Stupid coolant hose........
My 07 doesnt leak, knock on wood. Is this just an 06 issue?
Thinking ahead if I should replace this hose now for a while, but especially this winter looking at -20 deg temps and wife's primary vehicle while I'm out of town.

Ditto for 07. Changed mine Saturday. Major pain and I had the exhaust downpipe and collar from Turbo off as well. Still don't want to do this job again. Maybe trade truck next time it needs changing. Of course I'm 68 and these things get harder to do as we age.
they do that.....
Do a search on the forum for the exact part numbers in other posts that deal w this problem- but here's the deal: there is a dodge replacement kit for this part, comes packaged with better hose and two constant tension hose clamps. The screw type hose clamps can't adjust to the heating/cooling this time of year w the temperature changes, that's why they leak. The better hose and constant tension clamps fix it. It takes about 2 hrs to swap out and it's more work than it appears. It's definitely doable yourself though.
Just changed mine in about 30 minutes. I got a different looking hose from the dealer with the same part number. He told me they changed it up due to constant leaking issues. Mine was orange with no heat shield, unlike the one I took off that had the heat shield. I pulled the 13mm bolt that holds the rear hard line to the block and moved it out of the way. Made things MUCH easier.
