?s about wait to start light

I just bought an 06 yesterday. Is there no wait to start light? on my 2005 it had a light with a little squiggly line on it that would light up and turn off. The 06's do not have anything i don't think. I looked in the owners manual and saw the check engine light will come on and flash after emmissions have been tested or are ready to be tested. Any ideas? Later Jason

It has to be cold enough to kick on the sensor....when it gets colder you'll see it kick on

It will need to be down in the lower 50's for the wait to start lamp to illuminate. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until winter to check it out!

You can run a bulb check to see if the wait-to-start light works. Press and hold the trip counter that on the dash, not the over console, while turning the ignition on. The dash will run through a self diagnosis turning on all of the lights and running the dials through their full sweep.

Mine has to be in the mid 40's to come on.

Mine has only come on in the last couple of days with the temps in the very low 60's at night. This morning it stayed on for quite a while. I guess this is the first sign I should put away my shorts and get out my snow boots.

My 04 is the same. Comes on for 2-3 seconds regardless of how hot engine is. When I know the engine is warm, I don't wait for the light--just fire it over.
