I cant help you at all. But welcome to the forum. I doubt the wheel studs are different from the 2003-2007 rams, but it never hurts to have what type of truck you have and the mods you have in your signature. I will posting my truck and mods in about 3 weeks when I go on leave and buy one.

Welcome to the DTR... why do you need them? We may have another way around your problem...

Also, fill out your sig so we know what kind of truck you have...

How To.

Thanks for the welcome guys and this looks like a great forum.
I filled out my sig after I posted and guess it did not up date..

Anyhow been tire shopping awhile and want to go with 265/70/17 but I often haul pretty heavy and dont want any clearance issues.. I ordered some 1/2 spacers off ebay and have read conflicting reports if the oem studs are long enough.

Cant figure out how to reduce size of pic for avatar so...

I hope your studs will be long enough, I ran 285/70/17 for a while, they were too close, probably couldn't have put a pencil between tires. Maybe the 20mm will make a difference for you and be OK. A buddy of mine has tried unsuccessfully to find longer studs.

Thats why Im going with 265's. If I cannot find longer studs I plan to measure how much stud I have sticking out of the nut now and have a machine shop turn down the 1/2 spacers untill they will allow me a full lug nut... If that makes sense...

I run 1/4" spacers and have never had any issues.Tow a 28' GN horse trailer and a 26' GN flat deck for getting hay mostly.I looked for longer studs and gave up.If you run the 1/2" spacer the lugnut will not completely thread on.

Could you run with different axles from a heavier duty truck? Probably be a lot of work and money? Homewrecker sounds like he has his set up right without going through all that trouble.

I have 285/70/17 on mine with 1/4" spacers and have no rubbing issues empty or loaded. 1/4" is about the best your gonna get with the factory lugs. I also have had no luck getting longer studs. was thinking about trying to find a machine shop that can cut custom cut some for me.
