If I remember correctly, ground the #32 pin from the ECM and have the high idle enabled. This will make the ECM think you are powering a PTO. The cruise control is used to set the RPM's.

All I've read says you can't do it on an 03, is that right? I would like to have it.

Correction...
Ground the #22 pin.
If you go to a Cummins parts house, ask for an ECM pin repair kit. They don't cost much and will give you the correct pin with wire attached that you ground to one of the bolts holding the ECM to the engine block. It's simple and only takes a few minutes to do. When you back off the two plug screws, pull the plug holding the harness, locate #22 and shove a paper clip through it. A orange colored plug will come out.You then insert the repair pin in its place, plug in the harness, tighten down the two screws and ground the new wire. With the parking brake on, truck running, trans in neutral, foot off of the clutch and brake. Turn on the cruise control button then hit set. RPM's should climb. If they dont, you need to enable the PTO/ high idle function.
It worked on my 06

OK.
Its an easy mod. Ya might want to disconnect your batts when plugging in the ECM just to be on the safe side?

I'll add one more correction to the above. There are 2 plugs that go into the ecm. A in front, B in rear. You want pin #22 plug B. It works great for warming up as well as to help the A/C stay cool in the summer.
