High Idle
if your truck is capable of it. some are not programmed from the factory with it. You fire it up and just hit the cruise on/off button and then hit the set button. This needs to be done fairly quickly so don't waste any time between buttons. Then you can adjust how high with the accel/decel buttons. it only goes to 1500rpm. If your truck doesn't do it bring it into the dealer with a complaint of "does not produce heat or a/c at idle" that exact complaint will get your truck reprogrammed for free, otherwise you will have to pay for a "reflash" if you tell them you want the high idle. I was told that by a tech at the dealer when I bought my truck. Luckily mine was setup from the get-go. good luck!
The high idle function only works with automatic transmission trucks.
If its not already enabled, the dealer has to go into the ECM and enable that function - you or may not be charged a fee.
