Took an 05 for a ride today, I was literally sick to my stomach cause this truck was
totallly vibration and drone free. I,m beginning to fully comprehend to the extent I have been abused by DC. I,m a little sad by this whole experience , I am sad for Dodge. How in the world could they have released trucks like these ?

Dealer has one driveshaft in, the other shaft should be in on monday. Hope I can get them installed on tuesday. I will post the results after a test drive.

My 05 with a build date of 09/04 has a steel drive shaft and vibrates. I am not sure what drive shaft my 04.5 had but it was vibration free. I'm taking a 4k mile trip starting this Sunday and I am not looking forward to the vibration. Mine will vibrate between 63 and 72. Very disapointing...

How very disappointing , new drives were installed today to no avail. The horrid 65mph drone
and vibration is still there. Dealer agrees problem is still present , says DC is working on a fix but
could,nt even begin to project. My truck has a 4:10 rear gear ratio, dealer did suggest that 3:73
may keep the drone to a bareable minimum, but that conversation did,nt really go anywhere. I appreciate what my dealer is doing ( Bosco Dodge of CT), but I will never ever purchase from DC
again.

Aluminum part numbers but they came in steel, they are all steel, I have looked at every 05 I can find and they are also steel.

I also just had the listed part # shafts put in my truck, after having them balanced, the rear was off a litttle.
It also didn't change anything on my truck.

The truck goes in thursday. I spoke with the Dodge dealer in Utah that replaced the shafts with the part numbers in this topic and he said all the shafts he has replaced have been steel. I'm beginning to think Dodge is just blowing smoke to cover their butts. If this dosent work thursday I will have a lemon law attorney by the end of the week. This has gone on for more than 15 months. I'm getting a little sick of Dodges bullS&*#. I think if more people start lemon law procedings they might take this serious!!!!!!

Lemon

Had the truck in today for the sixth attempt to fix the vibration and had both driveshafts replaced with the part numbers of shafts in this forum. Still the same vibration and same speed. The mechanic rode with me on the test drive and felt the vibrations. I came home filled out the Lemon Law Papers and took them to the post office and sent them certified mail to Dodge. Lets see what this stirs up. By law they have another attempt to try to make me happy before the attorneys get the case. Tired of Dodges BS.

My truck has a 4:10 rear gear ratio, dealer did suggest that 3:73 might make it better.
Sorry but not likely.

I have the 3.73 and a wicked vibration.

Hey here is a thought, could the vibe be caused by the pinion gear yoke ? If changing the drive shafts on these trucks is only fixing a small amount of the vibes, has anyone tried this?

I dont care what Dodge does now. They have to talk with my Attorney. I filed suite against them last month. Get off your buts people and file a law suite. Its the only way Dodge is going to take you serious. Its only been two years and no fix. Dont you get it, they dont care!
