Thinking of changing up from a 1st gen, looking for '98 in S. Alberta
SHHH! Don't tell the 1st gen guys I'm over here!
As much as I love my '92 W250 the loud road noise, rough ride and no A/C are starting to wear on me and so I'm thinking of stepping up to a 2nd gen, specifically a '98 12V as I MUST have a quad cab 4 door(have daughter in car seat). Must be 4wd as well.
So what things should I look for in a 98' 12v? Also I have a second fuel tank in my '92 that I just LOVE, is there a option for a second tank on the 2nd gen trucks?
Thanks!

Keep looking on www.canadatrader.com, there's usually a fair amount of trucks on there, a good number in the Edmonton region. When I bought my truck, all the 98's were 24v's, but when I look occaisionally, there seems to be a few more 12v's out there.

Thanks for the reponses. I'm activaly watching a few different for sale forums in the Calgary area, there is a really nice looking one that I've seen advertsised, fully loaded, long box quad cab, auto, 4x4, for $18,000(CDN) but has 318,00kms on it. I know thats peanuts for a Cummins but it still takes it toll on the rest of the truck, tranny, diffs, seats and upholstry, etc. Found another similar truck with only 80,000kms but he wants $25,000!
I'm not in a hurry(wife is still warming up to the idea) so I have time to look. RV season is done for the year.
Did they ever make a 2nd gen SRW 3500 4X4? I could use the extra capacity of a 3500 but am not keen on duals, truck will probably end up being a daily driver.
