I got some pics today. Don't look like much has been accomplished, but I didn't work on it much lately.

New windshield. The engine bay collected some dust.

Thanks, glad I can help. I hope I'm never in a accident. I'm 30 years old & was never in a accident....BIG KNOCK ON WOOD.
Yes it will get a scratch on it for sure and it won't take long a clean straight truck is always a TARGET........... I just hope you don't get a bang to go along with the scratch. I want to just see your happy posts with nice pictures on here for a long time still like your color choice.

It does seem like that....like the better they look, the faster scratches show up. I'll just try to run the clear or something so it doesn't look too good.

What did you coat the frame with? Is that POR?

Chassis Saver,

I recommend dropping the fuel tank and getting in behind it with the wire wheel, wax and grease remover, then POR or Chassis Saver. I've seen trucks actually break in half there!

I planned on doing that. I just can't get no time in the garage, was planning on all day tomorrow........Sister in laws baby shower tomorrow & I'm suppose to go & eat after the ladies leave. I guess I'm volunteer to load all the baby gifts & they feed me to make me feel important.

Nice work on the frame. I don't like running the grinder that much so when I did mine I used a sand blasting attachment on a power washer. It siphons the material into the water spray. Saw it on one of the powerblock shows. Works pretty good, no dust, and is ~$50.
Painted with black rustoleum. But my truck is not used off road at all.

I used Rustoleum on my old 77 Chevy, stuff held up great for 6 years before I sold it.

Got the rest of the frame done, up to the cab. I'll be doing the rest from my buddies pit after the truck is done. I applied Picklex to the entire frame, then I sprayed 4 coats of zero rust on. I also removed the fuel tank & got that cleaned up. I am gonna order 2 new shackles for my springs, they are rusted pretty bad.

How's that brake line look that runs between the frame and the fuel tank?

The one on this 92 is original and looks perfect. Gone through about 3 of them so far on my 96.
